We have re-united in 2008 after 30 years of not seeing each other and since then we have been inseparable. We found our place on earth in a hamlet of Dąbrowica near the town of Ulanów. We bought a neglected rustic farm which we’ve been continually upgrading. What exists here now is incomparable with what was here before. A few photos showing the changes are attached below. 

We live in a wooden cottage built in 1929. We have adapted it to modern comforts while retaining many of its original interior elements. Our wood burners and stoves keeps us warm in the winter, while cool summer breeze makes our porch a perfect place for summer dining.

We are sharing our passions. Krzysztof shared his love for shooting and photography, Maja on the other hand her passion for interior design and gardening. We enjoy ethnography together and write a little bit about various topics. All in all a successful autumn years.

We have a collection of wooden huts and log cabins available for our visitors. We acquired these buildings from surrounding villages, preserving original architecture, before we came up with the idea of agrotourism. We have a lot of pets and animals: chickens and horses and dogs sharing our lives with us – not under one roof of course. All our animals live in their kennels, stables or chicken coops apart from cats, who are allowed by the fire place.

On rare occasions when we are able to find a farm sitter, we set off on photographic journeys.

We love people’s company. We really enjoy when guests participate in our daily lives, although we also respect their privacy in the accommodation we provide.

Our beautiful garden

W naszym ogrodzie króluje wielka lipa, która przekonała nas do tego miejsca. Niestety wiele innych drzew i krzewów, które tu rosły scięto przed sprzedaniem nam gospodarstwa. Coś niecoś odrosło, a do tego dosadziliśmy dziesiątki (a raczej setki !) roślin, dobierając takie, które miały szansę urosnąć na piachu i bez wody. Nie wszystkie przetrwały, ale te, które postanowiły żyć, otaczamy opieką, za co odpłacają pieknym rozwojem. Mamy kilka ciekawych okazów roślin rzadko spotykanych w polskich ogrodach, ale w większości sadzimy drzewa i krzewy rodzime, dobrze dostosowane do naszych pór roku. Wpuszczamy też do ogrodu chwasty. Niektóre są takie piękne. A poza tym urozmaicają ogród. Jednego roku wszystko było w dziewannach, w kolejnym w wiesiołkach i przymiotnie. W ostatnie lato wyrosła nam kępa bielunia dziędzierzawy w środku grupy szarłatów, które rok wcześniej też pojawiły się samoistnie. Ciekawe co pokaże się w kolejnych latach.

Eksperymentujemy też trochę z uprawą warzyw. Na pewno zaciekawi państwa nasze leniwe kartoflisko. Zainteresowanym opowiemy więcej, a poniżej dla zachęty przedstawiamy kilka zdjęć zakątków naszego ogrodu.
